Valletta Waterfront

The regeneration project at the Valletta waterfront was a skillful intervention of merging the restoration and rehabilitation of the historical urban fabric with mixed-use commercial development. Together with the Project Architects, Halmann Vella designed a custom-made terrazzo mix specifically for the project that covers approximately 2000sqm of land. A stone and terrazzo ‘carpet’ was laid along Pinto Stores creating an interface between landscape and seascape. The floor design features terrazzo carpets framed by rings of porphyry cubes and natural stone.
